  1. I really enjoyed your article review because using media with younger students in school isn't something I stop to think about. I do, however, think about it often at home. Just last night, my four year-old daughter was playing the Wii. It was interesting to watch her see the baseball batter on the screen, move her body, and see her fascination with how her movements were reflected by her Mii. I think it also helps her with letter recognition and other basic literacy skills. For example, she's learning her letters in preschool, so knowing that she has to push the letter "A" to make something happen creates a literate connection in her brain.

Good review. I chuckled when I saw the picture of "Great Aunt Rosie." :)

  2. Thanks, Danielle.
Little ones are amazing to watch with technology aren't they. They have no inhibitions and are so excited for the interaction!

PS-- I was having a lot of issues with my i-movie. We even had our district tech involved. When I found that image it just made me laugh hysterically! I think it was my comic relief!! :o)

  3. Great job Jen! You did a great job explaining the main points of your article. I think you did a great job finding pictures to go along with your video. My article also mentioned setting healthy boundaries for using media with preschoolers. I think media is often used as a babysitter at home and healthy boundaries aren't set.
I liked the 3 areas you talked about: Who tells the story? Understanding stories and Learn language. I also thought it was a great idea to get the kids up and moving and also incorporating art. Great job!
